Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:

  1. Sonny's BBQ recognized exceptional community members on Friday as part of their Random Act of BBQ program. After stopping by Clearwater Fire and Rescue Station 45, they stopped by San Jose Elementary School in Dunedin to recognize Adam Brown. The teacher was nominated by a parent and a colleague, earning him a special BBQ feast. You can learn how to nominate someone who deserves recognition at the link. (Dunedin Patch)
  2. Dunedin Mix, a unique establishment, is coming to Dunedin this winter. Located at 990 Broadway Boulevard, the owners are putting their own spin on the food hall dining trend. The building will offer various food options, boutique shops, nightly live entertainment, and special events. They're also adding a carousel bar called Circle 1852. Follow them on Facebook to see photos of the progress, learn how to become a vendor, and be among the first to find out what restaurants and stores will be part of the Dunedin Mix! (What Now Tampa)
  3. The Honu is hosting the Miss Honu 2023 Pinup Contest on Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. Twelve contestants will compete in their best vintage getup for the chance at the title. Stop by to enjoy the contest, live music, delicious tiki drinks, and vintage cars. (The Honu via Facebook)

  • The First Presbyterian Church offers free rickshaw rides for seniors every Monday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. They take up to two people on a 45-minute ride around town, making it easier for those who struggle with mobility to see the sights. To reserve your ride, call 727-298-3299. (Dunedin Patch)
