School Board Fires Superintendent Julie Janssen
Members of the Pinellas County School Board voted 7-0 during a special meeting this morning.
Embattled Pinellas County Schools Superintendent Julie Janssen has lost her job.
This morning, members of the school board voted to terminate her during a special meeting at school district headquarters in Largo.
The vote was 7-0 in favor of terminating Janssen "without cause." Janssen's last day on the job will be Sept. 2. Board members also decided to hold another special meeting Aug. 30 to approve an interim superintendent.
