The Fenway Hotel in Dunedin is the latest property from Mainsail Lodging & Development. It is slated to open in late October with 83 guest rooms and suites; the HEW Parlor & Chophouse with extensive private dining options and an open kitchen bar; the Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar overlooking St. Joseph Sound; 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space featuring the Caladesi Ballroom with water views; a resort-style pool; and an expansive front lawn ideal for croquet, badminton and special events.

Originally opened in 1927, the Fenway Hotel is an icon of the 1920-'30s Jazz Age, playing host to notable explorers, artists, politicians, musicians and living legends including civil liberties lawyer Clarence Darrow, Arctic explorer Robert Bartlett, FDR's White House press secretary Stephen Early and first commissioner of baseball Kenesaw Mountain Landis,

Considered to be the most historically valuable structure in Dunedin, the hotel was also home to the first radio station in Pinellas County, WGHB, which began broadcasting from the roof of the Fenway in 1925.

The hotel plans to preserve those jazz roots with special events and decor paying homage to the Jazz Age.
