  1. CORRECTION: Wednesday's newsletter mentioned the Blue Jays vs. Marauders game on Friday night at TD Ballpark. It will NOT have fireworks. The newsletter has since been corrected. All other information about the game was correct. (MILB)
  2. Dunedin Parks & Recreation will offer two Radiant Aquatics Swim Teams led by Coach Kyle Trelka at Highlander Pool. A Youth Swim Team for kids ages five to 17 will be available for beginners, recreational, and competitive simmers. The team will meet during morning or evening sessions Monday through Thursday from May 31 to July 28. Optional local swim meets will be offered throughout the summer. The Masters Swim Team is for anyone 18 and up and focuses on general fitness and stroke technique, as well as elements of race training. Classes will be held at 8:00 AM Monday through Thursday from June to September and can be paid for by the month or day. Registration is now open online. (Dunedin Patch | Registration)
  3. The senior service program Neighborly is in need of volunteers to deliver meals to those who are homebound in Pinellas County. Volunteers pick up the meals from one of 10 different nutrition sites throughout the county. They then deliver meals to clients on their route, often 5 to 10 stops, taking between one and two hours.   4. The Motown and Soul Music Show Luncheon is scheduled for this Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 PM at the Scottish American Society of Dunedin. This event features live performance tributes to James Brown, Ray Charles, Lil Richard, Marvin Gaye, and more. Hosted by Grammy-nominated singer Dre Hilton, attendees will also receive lunch.   • The Dunedin Soccer League will host tryouts for their competitive leagues between May 2 and May 6. Their competitive soccer program consists of a 10 month season with three practices per week, season league games on weekends, and tournaments coordinated by the team and coach.   • Congrats to the City of Dunedin! the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council awarded Dunedin first place at the 28th Annual Future of the Region Awards. The award was presented under the category Community Preparedness and Resiliency recognizing Dunedin's new Resilient Environmental Action Master Plan (DREAM). The Future of the Region Awards event highlights projects and programs that exemplify regionalism and recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions that benefit the regional community.
