A portion of southbound McMullen-Booth Road remains closed this morning and could stay closed for days.

A portion of southbound McMullen-Booth Road remains closed and could stay closed for days, say Pinellas County officials.

A water main along McMullen-Booth Road which ruptured Tuesday forcing the closure of southbound traffic on the road.

The water main has been determined to be a potable (drinking) water line, though interruption to customers is not anticipated.

The area of McMullen-Booth Road that will be closed to southbound traffic is between Tampa and Curlew roads. Motorists are encouraged to use U.S. 19 North or Belcher Road as an alternative route.
