Surveillance Video, Photo Of Suspect's Car Released In Bank Hold-Up In Nearby Palm Harbor

The footage from a Walmart shows the suspect just prior to donning a surgeon's mask and robbing Jefferson Bank, officials said.

PALM HARBOR, FL – Surveillance video from a Palm Harbor Walmart shows an alleged bank robber shortly before he purportedly wore a surgeon's mask and used a gun to rob a neighboring bank in June, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office

Detectives assigned to the case recently released the video seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect who robbed the Jefferson Bank of Florida at 35320 U.S. 19 N. on June 24.

In this video, the man is shown in a white shirt and dark pants, strolling the store and parking lot at the nearby Walmart just prior to the robbery.

According to the agency, the man walked into Jefferson Bank around 3:10 p.m. and brandished a black gun. The man demanded cash and was given an undisclosed amount. He then took off in a silver sedan, south on U.S. 19, after getting the cash. No injuries were reported.

A surveillance camera photo, also released, shows the suspect's vehicle outside of the bank window, the department said.

The man was described as being between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 230 pounds. In the robbery photos, he was wearing a surgeon’s mask, white T-shirt, blue jeans and a Tampa Bay Rays ball cap.
