Here are the top three stories in Dunedin today:

  1. For the past 60 years, volunteers with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Dunedin have been providing food and other assistance to people in need. Last year, the SVDP conference supported over 800 families by distributing more than $70,000 in food and financial aid. Joan Hughes, president of the conference at the church, says that although the conference is celebrating its 60th anniversary, it's too much of a "well-kept secret" in the community. (Tampa Bay Newspapers)
  2. "Breaking Bad" stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul surprised Tampa Bay fans by stopping by a few local businesses to promote their mezcal brand, Dos Hombres. In Dunedin, a line of fans stretched outside the Luekens Wine & Spirits store, snaking around the building and through the parking lot on Friday morning. Cranston and Paul signed and handed out bottles of their signature booze. They arrived around 11 a.m. and left around 1:15 p.m. and Luekens' employee, Jimmy Defrank, said the store sold upwards of 900 bottles of Dos Hombres at the event with roughly 700 fans showing up to greet the stars and snag autographs. (Tampa Bay Times)
  3. Dunedin Parks & Recreation is now offering health and wellness programs for ages 50 and older at the Hale Senior Activity Center. Among the classes the center offers is "Intro to Taoist Tai Chi" which will be held on Thursdays from 9-10:00 a.m. The class costs $4 if you have a Rec Card or $5 without a card. The focus of the class will be on finding balance, relaxing, and having fun. The classes will be taught by the Taoist Tai Chi Society. (Press Release Desk)
