The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Dunedin.

Good morning, neighbors! Kristen here with a fresh issue of the Dunedin Daily.

First, today's weather:

Partly sunny and beautiful. High: 71 Low: 57.

Here are the top stories today in Dunedin:

  1. The third Honeymoon Island Bluegrass Festival kicks off this morning with six hours of music, entertainment, food, and fun. As one of the most popular music festivals in Florida, attendees can expect traditional bluegrass music as well as various activities for kids. The Jolly Trolley will be providing transportation between the event area and the parking lots on a rotating basis throughout the day. Remember to bring your lawn chairs for seating! (Honeymoon Island Bluegrass Festival)
  2. This weekend begins the holiday season in Dunedin with a ton of free events the whole family can enjoy. It starts with the Holiday Boat Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony tonight in Edgewater Park where you can expect holiday music, S'mores, and an appearance by Santa. On Sunday the Dunedin Community Chorus will perform "Holiday Magic" at the Dunedin Community Center, singing everything from the classics to today's holiday hits. There's plenty more to come later in the month! (Dunedin Gov)
  3. Dunedin Parks & Recreation will host the annual Old Fashioned Christmas & Holiday Parade next weekend in downtown Dunedin. The parade will begin at 4:00 PM and will travel along Douglas Avenue. After the parade, you and your family can enjoy live music in Pioneer Park, street performers, and snow flurries along Main Street. Other activities include carriage rides, train rides, a snow slide, kids crafts, old-fashioned games, storytelling, face painting, and a visit with Santa Claus. (Dunedin Gov)
