Troopers Seek Possible Witness To Fatal Crash In Dunedin July 3

DUNEDIN, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is requesting help finding the driver of a car that may have witnessed a fatal accident on County Road 1 July 3.

At 9:59 a.m., an SUV driven by a 39-year-old Dunedin woman was heading south on CR 1 approaching Manning Road.

An SUV driven by a 61-year-old woman was heading north on CR 1 when the 39-year-old woman lost control and struck the other SUV. The SUV carrying the 61-year-old woman then rotated and struck a passenger bus driven by a 40-year-old Palm Harbor man.

The 39-year-old woman died at the scene. The other two drivers sustained minor injuries.

Troopers believe the driver of the black sedan seen in surveillance photos may have witnessed the accident and are asking the driver to contact Cpl. Rachel Palfy at 813-558-1800.
