U.S. Alt. 19 Open After Water Main Break
A section of the road was closed for several hours Wednesday.

Update: The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office reported just before 6 p.m. Wednesday that U.S. Alt. 19 in the area of Lee Street had reopened following a water main break.

DUNEDIN, FL — Motorists are being asked to avoid the area of U.S. Alt. 19 and Lee Street in Dunedin following a Wednesday morning water main break.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the road has been closed since just before noon. At 2:14 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office anticipated repairs would take several more hours.
Southbound traffic in the area is being diverted onto Wilson Street. Northbound traffic is being rerouted onto Skinner Boulevard.

Motorists are advised to steer clear of the area, if possible.
