The title of this post didn't say "THE" Best Day of My Life because I never know what's going to happen tomorrow. But if today is any indication, then things are looking good.
Today our foundation (LegacyNationUSA and the American Family Foundation, Inc.) partnered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey, to provide food and life-essentials to families in the parish who needed help.
The photo you see is of myself and my colleague, Tom Hassel, as well as three women from the parish who acted as "shopping chaperones" for our trip to Walmart to purchase food.
Looking at the faces of the children who came with their moms and dads and seeing the gratitude in their eyes as we shopped for basic necessities was a very touching and moving experience for us. And listening to their stories enlightened us even more as to how important it is to be a hope and a help to one another.
I want to personally thank Tom Hassel and the women from the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Thomas Aquinas for permitting our foundation to collaborate with you today. Our prayers and support are with you and your ministry.
