Armed Robbers Lured Victims Through Dating Website, Deputies Say
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office believes a trio of armed robbers may have had more victims.

Oldsmar, FL βTwo users of the Plenty of Fish dating website found out the hard way recently that not every catch is a keeper.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriffβs Office, two male victims searching for female companions via the popular dating website were set up to be robbery targets by a trio of people. The male victims communicated with a person via the website who identified herself as βJessicaβ or βCurvyΒ_Cameron93," the agency wrote in an email to media.
βThe victims and the suspects continued communication through text messages and agreed to meet the users in a room at the Bayview Motel,β the email said.

Once at the 501 Bayview Blvd. motel in Oldsmar, however, the victims found out their dates were shams, deputies say.
βWhen the victims arrived at the prearranged meeting locations, they were battered and robbed at gun point by two male suspects,β the email said. βThe suspects stole cash and various personal belonging from the victims and fled the scene.β

The first robbery occurred on June 19 at 8:45 p.m., deputies say. The second on Friday at 3:25 a.m.
Those victims came forward, kicking off an investigation. Three people were arrested early Saturday morning in connection with the two robberies. They are:
- Charlie Woodley, 21, of Largo
- Cameron Davis, 20, of Oldsmar
- Rachel Brown, 19, of Largo
Woodley and Davis both face two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon. Brown was charged with one count of being a principal to robbery with a deadly weapon
The trio were being booked into the Pinellas County Jail Saturday morning. Booking photos were not yet available.
βDetectives believe that there are additional victims that have not been identified,β the agencyβs email said. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Cpl. Jeff Capra at 727-582-6200.
