East Lake Fire Commissioners Sworn In

East Lake Fire Commissioners Paul Ferreri, Tom McKone and David Root were sworn in during a special ceremony on Friday, Nov. 9.

Root was recently re-elected to the commission. He beat challenger Sharon Hurst by 2,315 votes.

Root has lived in the East Lake area for 28 years. He says it's important for citizens to become involved in the monthly meetings, so they can understand how their $5 million tax budget is being spent.
