First Annual Palm Harbor Lobster Fest at The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary

The three day event will feature a variety of food, live music, eclectic vendors, and lots of FUN! Attendees can visit with, and learn about, the over 70 different animals that call the SPS venue home. Highlights include live Maine lobster dinners, VIP all you can eat Friday night event, a variety of great food vendors, Beer, wine, and other beverages, live stage entertainment with over ten local bands performing during the weekend, craft and specialty item vendors, and local community vendors.

The event is produced and managed by Steve Fiske, the Publisher of the Taste of Tampa Bay Magazine. Other sponsors for this event include; Lobster Haven, Palm Harbor House of Beer, The North Pinellas Regional Chamber of Commerce, Tampa Bay Woman, Magic Eye Communications, WTAN-AM 1340, RFID, Bin There Dump That, Aardvark’s Music and Rental Center and Bayshore Signs. Some of the participating restaurants as of this date are Tiffany’s, The Brick House Tavern, Capital Grill, Eddie’s, Twisted Martini, LONNIE’S, Frankie’s BBQ, Billy’s Tarpon Turtle and Lobster Haven. “We will be bringing in thousands of pounds of fresh Maine lobsters every day, during the festival”, says, Dan Hall, the owner of Lobster Haven in Oldsmar.

The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization home to over 70 animals including Chimpanzees, Orangutans, Monkeys, Reptiles, Tropical Birds, and more. Whether coming to the Sanctuary after no longer being able to be cared for as a personal pet or retiring from the laboratory and film industries, the Sanctuary is here to provide these magnificent animals with a safe haven to spend out the rest of their lives in peace and with dignity. The Sanctuary is run entirely by volunteers and relies on the generosity of the community and local businesses.
