Library Considering Deer-Resistant Landscaping

A local landscaping expert has offered to identify how the East Lake Library can make its landscaping deer-resistant.

It's no secret many deer live here in East Lake. When they get hungry, they've also been known to graze on the landscaping in East Lake residents' yards.

During a recent Council of North County Neighborhoods meeting at the East Lake Library, Friends of Brooker Creek Preserve volunteer Pat Brown gave a presentation that informed residents about deer-resistant landscaping

Brown has also offered to review the East Lake Library's grounds — free of charge — and recommend deer-resistant landscaping to improve the grounds, according a recent East Lake Library Director's report. As you probably know, the East Lake Library backs up to a wooded area.
