Palm Harbor Man Arrested After Failed Attempt to Inject Drug, Say Deputies

Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Palm Harbor man who they say was trying to inject a hypodermic needle full of hydromorphone into his right arm, but couldn't find a vein.

Michael Thomas Sevilla, 30, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance-hydromorphone.

Deputies arrested Sevilla around 2 p.m on Jan. 26 outside a residence on Sevilla Circle in Clearwater, according to an arrest affidavit. They say Sevilla admitted that he purchased the hydromorphone from Francis Startari, 35, of Redington Beach and William Karras, 38, of Safety Harbor. Startari and Karras were arrested on drug-related charges. 

The arrest affidavit also said Sevilla appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Sevilla was booked into the Pinellas County Jail. Bond was set at $2,150.
