Two Injured in Crash on East Lake Rd.
One person was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center after the crash late Friday afternoon. Another person was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, according to East Lake Fire Rescue.
Two people were injured in a one-car crash on East Lake Rd. during the busy afternoon commute Friday.
According to preliminary information from East Lake Fire Rescue, the vehicle was in the northbound lane when it lost control about 1/4 mile south of East Lake Woodlands around 4:55 p.m. The driver over-corrected and the vehicle flipped, landing upside down on the side of East Lake Rd.
One person was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center. Another person was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.

Emergency vehicles have left the scene, however there could be delays while the Florida Highway Patrol investigates.
