Fossil Valley Girl Scouts’ Daisy Troop 33112 Launches Annual Valentine Sock Cupcake Community Service Project
The goal for 2026 is to deliver 100 handmade "sock cupcakes" to residents of a local assisted living facility
FishHawk/Riverview, FL — January 2026 — Daisy Troop 33112, led by Sara Bogue and part of the Fossil Valley Service Unit of Girl Scouts of West Central Florida (GSWCF), is proud to announce the return of its annual Valentine Sock Cupcake Community Service Project, a beloved fundraiser and service initiative within the Service Unit.
This yearly project brings Girl Scouts and the community together to spread kindness to local seniors. The goal for 2026 is to deliver 100 handmade “sock cupcakes” to residents of a local assisted living facility in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Participants may purchase a Sock Cupcake Kit for $14, which includes:
- 10 pairs of fuzzy socks
- 10 cupcake liners
- 10 treat bags
- 10 mini Valentine cards
Participants are also encouraged to create their own Valentine cards to add a personal touch. Sock cupcakes are assembled by rolling and fluffing the socks into a cupcake shape, placing them in a liner, decorating the Valentine card, and wrapping the finished cupcake in a treat bag.

- Monday, January 19: Kit pickup at the Leader Meeting
- Monday, February 9: Completed sock cupcakes returned at the Leader Meeting
