It Takes a Village… and PV Delivered

Progress Village Middle Magnet School of the Arts proudly congratulates its students and faculty on a successful production of Seussical Jr., performed April 10–11, 2026, in the school’s Mainstage Theatre.

The production showcased the extraordinary talent and dedication of PV Theatre students, who not only performed on stage but also played a vital role behind the scenes. Students were responsible for set construction, technical operations, and even hair and makeup design—demonstrating the school’s commitment to hands-on, arts-integrated learning.

Under the direction of Ms. Leavitt (choreography and costume design), Ms. Franzen (music), and Ms. Borths (technical theatre), the cast and crew delivered a vibrant and imaginative performance that brought beloved Dr. Seuss characters to life.

“This production truly reflects the creativity, collaboration, and perseverance of our students,” said program supporters. “It’s a shining example of what makes Progress Village such a special place.”

The school also extends its gratitude to the many parent volunteers, alumni, PTSA, and community partners whose support made the production possible. From donations and silent auction contributions to concessions and backstage assistance, the community played a vital role in the show’s success.

With themes centered on kindness, inclusion, and imagination, Seussical Jr. reminded audiences that “a person’s a person, no matter how small”—a message that continues to resonate throughout the Progress Village community.
