If you're looking for a fun, low-cost family activity β€” something nostalgic, outdoors, and uniquely "old Florida"

If you're looking for a fun, low-cost family activity β€” something nostalgic, outdoors, and uniquely β€œold Florida” β€” we still have a gem right here in South Hillsborough County: the Ruskin Drive-In Theatre.

It opened in 1952… and it’s one of the last true family drive-ins still operating in the entire nation.

But it needs our support.

Last year’s hurricanes destroyed their screen, and they worked incredibly hard to rebuild and re-open. The community stepped up then β€” but attendance has dropped sharply since June, and they’ve been operating at a loss every month. After more than 70 years, this beloved local tradition is at risk.
