Progress Village Student Recovering After Family Involved in Devastating Crash
The Progress Village community is coming together to support one of its students and his family after a devastating head-on collision.

The Progress Village community is coming together to support one of its students and his family after a devastating head-on collision left multiple family members hospitalized and facing a long road to recovery.
According to a GoFundMe campaign organized by family friend Julia Klaiber, Progress Village student Tetra Greaux, his parents, and several of his siblings were involved in a serious crash that has changed their lives in an instant.
The accident left members of the large family with significant injuries. Tetra's father, Augustus "Gus" Greaux, suffered a broken leg, a compound fracture, and a broken hip. His wife also sustained a broken hip. Both parents are expected to require surgery and extensive recovery time, leaving them unable to work for the foreseeable future.

The family's greatest concern remains their youngest child, a 3-year-old boy who suffered a brain bleed and remains under close medical care.
Progress Village Theatre teacher Angel Borths shared the family's situation with the school community after receiving a message from Tetra.

"Today, I received a message from Tetra that his family, with everyone in the car, was involved in a head-on collision," Borths wrote. "Tetra, his parents and many of his 11 siblings were all in the hospital."
While several of the children suffered broken bones and other injuries, many have since been released from the hospital. The family now faces the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that accompany a tragedy of this magnitude.
Borths encouraged the community to support the family however they can.
"He included a GoFundMe link, as his parents will be unable to work for the foreseeable next few months as they heal from broken bones," she said. "Let's show them some love. If you can, please donate. If you can't, please share."
Friends, neighbors, coworkers, and members of the Progress Village community have already begun rallying around the family, helping spread awareness and offering support during this difficult time.
The fundraiser will help cover medical expenses, household bills, and the family's day-to-day needs as both parents focus on recovery and caring for their children.
For those unable to contribute financially, sharing the fundraiser and keeping the Greaux family in their thoughts and prayers can make a meaningful difference.
As summer travel increases and families spend more time on the road, this heartbreaking accident serves as a reminder of how quickly life can change and how important it is to stay attentive behind the wheel.
How to Help: Donations can be made through the GoFundMe campaign organized by Julia Klaiber. Community members are also encouraged to share the fundraiser and send messages of support to the Greaux family as they navigate the difficult weeks and months ahead.
