That’s when she noticed there was something a little different about the large reptile, who was trying to make its way across the road.
“Oh, you only got three legs. That’s really sad,” the TikTok user can be heard saying in the video. “Oh my God. That’s actually heartbreaking. Now I feel bad taking a video of you, dude.”
As the car approached, the gator turned around and went back in the direction it came from.
The TikTok user was identified as Amanda Leigh Demuth, 28, a local bartender, by Fox 35.
Topgolf commented on her video, writing, “Oh, that’s actually Bill our greeter.”
Demuth responded, “10/10 for customer service.”
Another commenter on the video, John DeMayo, said he often fishes at the pond in front of that Topgolf location and has seen that gator, who he nicknamed “3 feet Pete,” before.
Demuth told Fox that she was surprised by all of the attention.
"I actually had to shut my notifications off for TikTok because of the overwhelming responses," she said. "It’s been shared along to other social media platforms like Instagram Reels and etc. It’s definitely shocking and kind of funny."
