• Florida DOT revokes permits for automated license plate readers on state highways (gulfcoastnewsnow.com) — Florida's transportation department has revoked permits for automated license plate readers on state highways, ordering all devices removed within 30 days. The Fort Myers Police Department says it does not use Flock cameras, while the Lee County Sheriff's Office is reviewing the order. Several other counties statewide are already discontinuing LPR use as privacy and surveillance concerns grow.
