FL Man Claims $41M Lottery Prize From Ticket Sold At Publix

A Cape Coral man won the Florida Lotto jackpot after matching all numbers from a Christmas Eve drawing.

CAPE CORAL, FL β€” A Lee County man came forward this week to claim a $41 million lottery prize won in a Christmas Eve drawing, according to lottery officials.

Darren Martini of Cape Coral won the Florida Lotto jackpot after purchasing the winning ticket at Publix, located at 3015 Pine Island Rd. SW in Cape Coral. The store will receive a bonus commission of $100,000 for selling the winning ticket, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers for the Christmas Eve drawing were 5, 13, 17, 20, 27 and 53.

Martini chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $24,559,932.33.

The next Florida Lotto drawing will be held Saturday at 11:15 p.m. The jackpot is currently at $27.5 million.
