FORT MYERS (August 19, 2021) – The American Cancer Society is pleased to announce the 2021 Lee County Cattle Baron’s Ball Honoree is Emad Salman, MD. This year’s event will be held at the beautiful and historic Edison & Ford Winter Estates near downtown Fort Myers on Saturday, October 23rd.

For almost 25 years, Dr. Salman has practiced pediatric hematology and oncology in the Fort Myers community. He currently serves as the Regional Medical Officer of Golisano Children’s Services and Lee Physician Group Pediatric Division, as well as the Vice President and Chief Physician Executive for Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Dr. Salman received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and established the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology program at the Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in 1997. “It is a privilege to honor him for his incredible advocacy, lifesaving work, and support of our community,” said Susan Frantz, 2021 event chair.

The 17th annual Lee County Cattle Baron’s Ball will feature live entertainment from Ben Allen Band, along with a live and silent auction, caricature artists, and more. A special part of the evening will be a mission appeal, benefiting American Cancer Society’s GoldTogether initiative, which is dedicated to increasing awareness of childhood cancer, supporting families facing a diagnosis, and raising funds to end childhood cancer.
