Outdoor movies always get a strong yes from us and our fall lineup is no exception! This October, join us for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hocus Pocus and The Blair Witch Project!

Saturday, October 16 • The mother of all cult classics returns to the big screen! A beloved, rowdy, nocturnal tradition, the Rocky Horror Picture Show has been tantalizing audiences for over 40 years. Be part of a decades-long tradition of crowd participation as guests are encouraged to dance along to the Time Warp, yell back at the movie and throw props in time with the action on screen and our shadow cast. The event includes a Rocky Horror costume contest, food trucks, raffles, vendors, prop bags and a night under the stars with your favorite Transylvanians!

Hocus Pocus Outdoor Movie on the GreenMarket Lawn

Thursday, October 28 • Pack up your lawn chairs, coolers and blankets and enjoy the insanely adored classic movie, Hocus Pocus! After 300 years of slumber, three sister witches are accidentally resurrected in Salem on Halloween night, and it is up to three kids and their newfound feline friend to put an end to the witches’ reign of terror once and for all.

Sunday, October 3 • The Alliance and Nice Guys Pizza excitedly welcome director and Florida native, Daniel Myrick to an exclusive screening of The Blair Witch Project with a Q&A post-show. Grab your blankets and lawn chairs for an exciting and spooky evening under the stars at Nice Guys Pizza in Cape Coral!

The event includes a full showing of The Blair Witch Project, a Q&A and talk-back with director Dan Myrick, exclusive fan art posters, artist pop-ups, a one-night-only beer by Fort Myers Brewing Company, Blair Witch trivia and a night under the stars with your friends!

Fort Myers Cosplay Con 2021

Sunday, September 26 • This convention is full of everything you look forward to at conventions, all in one event! Tabletop games, helpful demos and workshops, LARP sessions, cosplay mini shoots, informative panels from local experts in the field, cosplay contests for craftsmanship AND showmanship – and the list continues to grow

Men on Boats, mostly a comedy by Jaclyn Backhaus and directed by Rachael Endrizzi

Playing October 21 – 31 • Ten explorers. Four boats. One Grand Canyon. Men On Boats is the true(ish) history of an 1869 expedition, when a one-armed captain and a crew of insane yet loyal volunteers set out to chart the course of the Colorado River. The outlandish crew encounters disaster, conflict and harrowing adventure along the way. Keeping with the tradition of Backhaus’ acclaimed play, the cast is composed entirely of women.

Mosaic and Stained Glass Multi Week Workshop (Ages 18+)

Saturdays, October 2 and October 9 • The fun begins as you select gorgeous vitreous glass tiles and learn mosaic or stained glass techniques that will bring your image to life! Mila and Stevan’s highly personalized style of instruction is a great beginning to learning the technique of mosaic making. The course is suitable for all levels and small classes ensure lots of individual attention. Participants will learn basic glass cutting skills and glass laying techniques. Each student will have the opportunity to choose from pre-made designs or create their own.

Batique Techniques Workshop (Ages 15+)

3-Day Workshop, October 22 – 24 • This 3-Day workshop is about using the batik (Indonesian style wax resist painting) and rozome (Japanese style batik) wax and dye painting processes to create unique artwork on fabric that can be used on everyday household objects, clothing or works of art! Play with tjaps (Indonesian printing blocks), tjanting tools, brushes, and other waxing techniques so that you have a variety of tools to create artwork that is uniquely yours.

Free Family Art Labs

Every 3rd Saturday • Drop in for free, hands-on family fun from 10 a.m. to noon. Explore something new every month like art making, gallery activities, games and more – all inspired by artworks on view in the gallery, famous artists, national holidays and artistic traditions around the world. Come ready to imagine and create! After the fun, peruse local produce and products at our GreenMarket.

Each and every Saturday • Our outdoor farmer’s marketis loaded with local produce, artisanal foods, edible and landscape plants, yoga on the lawn, live music, art, one-of-a-kind gifts, backyard farming workshops and all the good flavors and good vibes you can fit into your Saturday morning. Plus, there’s plenty of shade, camaraderie and community – the perfect setting to enjoy a bite and relax! Our weekly market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each and every Saturday, year-round and rain or shine.
