Make Your Dream Retirement a Reality at Siena Lakes

Anne Lewallen was pleasantly surprised by all the activities available at Siena Lakes.

At Siena Lakes, the Erickson Senior Living community in Naples, Fla., residents enjoy access to a wide range of amenities and a vibrant lifestyle. For Anne Lewallen, life at the community has exceeded her expectations, as she discovered shortly after moving there three years ago.

"It's great living at Siena Lakes," says Anne. "My decision to move has worked out very well. I'm always so happy to come back to my new home."

Worry-free living

A native Floridian, Anne was accustomed to preparing for hurricane season each year. That changed in 2022, when Hurricane Ian struck. At the time the storm made landfall, Anne was away visiting her youngest son. The condo she owned for 40 years was completely destroyed, and only a small number of personal items, including photos and holiday decorations, stored elsewhere, were salvageable.

Shortly afterward, Anne moved to Siena Lakes. Now, she enjoys a level of security she did not previously have.In addition to offering a gated campus with security staff, trained in emergency response, Siena Lakes was built to withstand severe weather.

When more hurricane activity passed through the area in 2024, Anne witnessed the preparations firsthand.

"They did a great job of having meals for us, and so many of the staff stayed to be sure we had everything we needed. It was amazing!" she says.

A vibrant lifestyle

Visiting Siena Lakes is the best first step in learning more about life at the community. The sales team provides a wealth of information and access to real-life resident experiences.

"When people come for a visit, they are often surprised. From our five restaurants to our countless activities and amenities, Siena Lakes offers such an amazing lifestyle that it shatters the myth of what they thought a retirement community would be," says Sales Director Suzy McAllister.

She adds, "When we take prospective residents on a tour of a model residence for the first time, and they see the 12-foot ceilings, high-end features, and a beautiful, open concept plan, you can see how excited they become about living here--they're very impressed."

Activities for every interest

Siena Lakes offers a broad selection of clubs and groups, fitness classes, and social opportunities designed to support an active lifestyle. The community features a fitness center, an outdoor pool, and weekly classes ranging from Balance and Strength to Low-Impact Cardio Core, along with water aerobics.

Residents who enjoy golf can take advantage of arrangements with a local golf course, and state-of-the-art bocce ball courts on campus offer a fun way to meet neighbors and enjoy friendly competition.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Anne plays Rummikub with an active group of residents. She also regularly attends lectures presented by professors from Florida Gulf Coast University, along with musical performances and other on-campus events.

When she wants to see a movie, Anne visits the on-campus theater. She also enjoys walking throughout the community and frequently spends time in the library.

"I really appreciate having a library right here. Even though the public library is just up the street, it's so nice to have one on campus for people like me who like to read," says Anne. "It's a real plus."

Off-campus, Anne remains active in her church and participates in the League of Women Voters.

Exciting dining options

For Anne, dining provides additional opportunities to spend time with friends throughout the day. The community offers five dining venues, ranging from a fast-casual option to full-service restaurants.

Through the Signature Dining program, menu items are prepared to order by in-house professional chefs.

"They do a really nice job with the food at all the restaurants, including the new Amalfi's in Belle Isle," says Anne. "When family visits, they are always impressed with the food and the variety offered."

And, although Anne doesn't cook as often as she once did, she still enjoys making her famous cream cheese poundcakes to give as gifts.

You've got a friend

Whether dining together or gathering for games, Anne regularly connects with others who share her interests.

"I've become pretty close with some people in the Rummikub group, and I always look forward to going downstairs to play," says Anne. "People are so friendly here. And all the staff are so kind and helpful. They have great attitudes and make our lives so nice."
