San Carlos Park Elementary Receives $5,000 Grant From Burlington Stores
Teachers will use the funds to purchase classroom supplies.

The School District of Lee County is excited to announce San Carlos Elementary School was just awarded a $5,000 grant from Burlington Stores. Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org are adopting the teachers at San Carlos Park to celebrate the opening of their new store at Gulf Coast Town Center.

“We love our neighbors!” exclaims San Carlos Park Elementary Principal Christy Kutz. “It is awesome that our newest neighbor Burlington has chosen to recognize our hardworking teachers with this generous gift!”
The $5,000 grant will be divided among the teachers at San Carlos Park to shop for school supplies through AdoptAClassroom.org. They were surprised with the news during an online staff meeting Monday when representatives from Burlington joined the zoom.

AdoptAClassroom.org connects teachers to 30 vendors they can buy supplies from that can be put to immediate use.
