United Community Association Networking holds annual holiday gift drive
Proceeds will benefit the Children's Network of Southwest Florida
The United Community Association Networking (UNET) is holding its annual donation drive and fundraiser. Proceeds from this year’s drive will benefit the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida and provide children in the foster care system with clothing, toys and school supplies as we enter the holiday season.
“Giving back to the community where you live is so important, particularly during the holiday season,” said Heather Karamitsos, Senior Vice President and Director of Association Banking for American Momentum Bank, and a member of UNET’s board. “The children that the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida supports are removed from their homes and are often without basic necessities, such as school supplies. This drive will provide them with these items, and give them a holiday that they will remember.”
UNET is asking for clothing and shoes for all ages and genders – particularly jackets and jeans as cooler weather approaches – toys, school supplies and backpacks. The organization is also accepting monetary donations and gift cards to purchase these items for children in the system of care. All checks should be made payable to the Children’s Network of SWFL.
