19 Year Old Drowns at Fort DeSoto Park

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office 19-year-old Nikenson Cenatus drowned at the North Beach at Fort DeSoto Park around 2:30 p.m. Saturday July 30th.

Cenatus was spotted floating in the water and was pulled to shore. A beachgoer performed CPR. Cenatus was then taken to All Children's Hospital, in St. Petersburg, where he was pronounced dead.

Cenatus is originally from Haiti and has been living in Florida for 4 years. He was at the beach with a group from Sanctification Haitian Baptist Church.

Officials say the death is not suspicious. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
