5 Tips to Get Your Children Excited About School

1) Start reading for fun. This helps children get in the mood for back-to-school.

2) Make sure they are getting a good meal at night. This helps children be more attentive in school.

3) Make sure they go to bed on time so they can get up in time for school.

4) When your children go with you to the grocery store start having conversations about the math involved. Topics can be which item is the best price or figuring out how much of an item you need for a recipe. For younger children the conversations can be about counting items. The idea is to get children thinking about numbers.

5) With students walking and biking to school, make sure you have safety conversations with them. Practice the route to school before the first day.
