5 Things to Know This Weekend

1) Are you going to the Free "Growing Greener" Sustainable Urban Gardening Symposium in Gulfport today? The event is free for all ages, donations are welcome. It will be at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Followed by an evening event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Art Village Courtyard. Please send us your photos from the event! 4) Six members of the Gulfport Police Explorers and Det. Hanh Pham and SRO Steven Beltran are leaving this weekend to compete in the Florida Association of Police Explorers (F.A.P.E) State Competition from June 19 - 25 in Orlando. Gulfport members from 15 to 20 years old will compete in crime scene scenarios, conducting traffic stops and even taking part in an active shooter scenario.
