Hurricane Season Half Over: According to the Pinellas County Government website, there have been 11 named systems so far during the 2011 Atlantic Hurricane Season. For more information about local resources and hurricane preparedness, check out our series .
Three-day Weekend: Pinellas County Government offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5 in observance of Labor Day. County parks and preserves will be open during the holiday.
