5 Things to Know This Weekend

Haunted Houses in Gulfport: Looking for a reason to scream? Check out a couple of local haunted houses in Gulfport this weekend. The Hollow and Midway Massacre will be set up and ready for victims, I mean, guests from 7:30 - 9:30 tonight. They are located on the 5600 block of Newton Ave S. People are asked to donate $2 per haunted house. Donations will benefit the Gulfport Little League and Fire Explorers Post 945. Organizers are also collecting new and gently used children's books for The Christmas Toy Workshop of St. Pete. On Saturday and Sunday the haunted house, A Year of Madness, on 900 63rd St. S., will be open 5 - 10 p.m. The group accepts several donations for several organizations. Items include: money, food, blankets, dog/pet food, school supplies/backpacks and personal hygiene items. And on Monday, Hull Street Haunted Trail will be open 7 - 9 p.m.. Please bring canned goods or a small donation.
