5 Things to Know This Weekend

Tangerine Blues Fest: Come out from 4 - 10 p.m. today for the 4th annual free event in Gulfport. The Tangerine Blues Fest will feature a powerful line-up of great blues bands, including our headliner, "Albert Castiglia":The Legendary JCs, Shar Baby and the Steve Arvey Band
Bring your chair, come hungry and thirsty! There will be food and beverage vendors available, so please, no coolers. A portion of the proceeds from the 4th Annual Blues Fest will benefit All Children's Hospital. Donate Blood: Starting at 3:30 p.m. today, you can donate blood to the Florida Blood Services at the Tangerine Blues Fest. All donors will receive a free cholesterol screening, a buy-one-admission-get-one-free voucher to the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa, a gift card for a free Subway foot-long sandwich, and a free T-shirt.

Art under the Oaks: Artists of all ages are invited to the very first "Art under the Oaks" show benefitting the Gulfport Multipurpose Senior Center Foundation Inc. The event is on Saturday, November 5, 2011, with an application deadline on Friday, October 4. It'll be free to the public on the corner of Beach Blvd. and 26th Ave S.
