Full Moon: There will be a full moon tonight! Take advantage of it and take a walk on the Gulfport Beach, Williams Fishing Pier or in downtown Gulfport. The next full moon is on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.

Crime Watch Meeting: Everyone is invited to the Gulfport Crime Watch Meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Gulfport Neighborhood Center, 1617 49th St S, Gulfport.

End Hunger in Tampa Bay: Members of the community are invited to join the newly formed Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger. After a year of planning, the group is ready to begin building a hunger-free community, where there is access to nutritious food for all residents. Membership is free and open to all who are interested in solving the hunger problem. Centennial Lecture Series: The Pinellas County Historical Society and Pinellas County's Heritage Village is launching a series of history lectures. The opening lecture, From Punta Pinal to Peerless Pinellas, covers the years from 1842 to 1911 and takes place Sunday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Pinellas Room at Pinellas County’s Heritage Village, 11909  125th St. in Largo. Admission is free but donations support Heritage Village operations. For more information check out the Pinellas County Government website.
