5 Things to Know Today: Thursday, November 3

1) Opening Night: The Gulfport Community Players present "The Constant Wife" at the Catherine Hickman Theater tonight. The show runs Nov 3-13. 2) Yard Sale Record: Gulfport Patch has learned that city officials have received a record number of addresses for the "City-Wide Yard Sale" Saturday.  More than 115 homes are included. The previous record was 100. Wow! Brochures should be ready to pick up at City Hall, but you can download the pdf now, and plan your search for deals. 3) Salsa Anyone?: Salsa lessons for everyone beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. Then stick around for a dance. Lessons and the dance are $7 per person. For more information, call 727-893-1070.

4) Join the Parade: Have you heard about the Heroes Weekend in Gulfport, on Nov. 10, 12 and 13? The public is invited to enjoy a free concert, a parade and a musical performance benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project. Stetson Law student Javier Centonzio joined forces with the American Legion Post 125, the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce and the City of Gulfport to create the Heroes weekend. If you want to join in the parade, start thinking of ideas now and fill out the registration form.
