City Council Workshop Today: The Gulfport City Council is holding an extended visioning workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Gulfport City Hall. To view the agenda, check out the City's website.

Folk Music & Folk Tales: Come out tonight for an evening of Florida folk music with Music Man Charley Groth and friend Shana Smith at the First Florida Frontiers "Celebrating Florida" event tonight at 7 p.m. Applaud certificates awarded to the Gecko Legend winners from GeckoFest. Hear legends (short stories) read, and admire gecko art from Admiral Farragut students. Light refreshments available, including mango bread from Island Flavors & 'Tings.

Salsa Anyone?: Come out and learn to "spice up" your dance routine at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom tonight. Salsa lessons begin at 7 with a dance following the instructions. Cost is $7 per person.

Register for City-Wide Yard Sale: The Gulfport City-Wide Yard Sale is set for Saturday, Nov. 5. Have you registered for the permit-free event yet? All you have to do is: be a Gulfport resident and register today. Gulfport Patch attached the Brochure Listing Application on this post. Fill it out and hand it into Gulfport City Hall by Friday, 4:30 p.m., to get your home in the map brochure. You can also email your name and address to Gail Biron, Technical Events Specialist, at gbiron@mygulfport.us to get your info in the brochure in time.
