Record number of homes in citywide yard sale, Fresh Market Today and more in "5 Things to Know Today."

1.) Yard Sale Record: Gulfport Patch has learned that city officials have received a record number of addresses for the "City-Wide Yard Sale" on November 5. More than 115 homes are included. The previous record was 100. Wow! Brochures should be ready later this week to pick up at City Hall, but you can download the pdf now and plan your search for deals. 2.) City Council Regular Meeting: The City Council meeting is tonight at 7 at Gulfport City Hall. There will be no workshop, which was originally planned for 6 p.m.
3.) On The Agenda Tonight: The second reading of the beach smoking ban, second reading to create a Special Magistrate and resolution to approve a one year agreement for dispatch and records services from the PCSO are among the items to be discussed and voted on during the City Council Meeting. 4.) Fresh Food Downtown: What are you going to buy at the market today? Remember, the Gulfport Fresh Market is from 9 to 3 on Beach Blvd. According to the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market Facebook page, there's a new seafood vendor expected to set up shop today. 5.) Tuesday Forecast: Sunny with a high near 77. A northeast wind around 15 mph with gusts as high as 22 mph. Tonight, mostly clear with a low around 63 and a northeast wind around 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.
