More Vendors at Fresh Market, Talented Musicians Needed, Blessing of the Animals Today and more in "5 Things to Know Today."

Fresh Market Expands: The Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market has added more than ten new vendors at the weekly market. Additions include more food, arts and crafts. Come check out the new faces today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. That's right, the market is now open an hour later as part of the fall season additions.

Get Your Pets Blessed Today: The Blessing of the Animals is today at 1:30 p.m. at the Gulfport Senior Center, 5501 27th Ave S. The service is free, but donations of pet food for the Senior Center's Food Pantry is greatly appreciated. All pets attending should be held, caged or on leashes.

Perform at Birthday Bash: Organizers with the City of Gulfport Birthday Bash are looking for musical talent for the Saturday, Oct. 8th event. Officials are looking for a solo musician or duo to donate their time at the fundraiser. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, October 5. Send all information to:
