1.) What Do You Think About Code Enforcement?: During Tuesday night's City Council Workshop members decided to invite residents to come to a Town Meeting about code enforcement and nuisance ordinances. The City Clerk will work to get information together for a Town Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Gulfport Senior Center. More information to come on Gulfport Patch.
2.) No More WRAB or EDAC: The Gulfport Community Redevelopment Agency (comprised of the City Council) unanimously voted to dissolve the Waterfront District Advisory Board and Economic Development Advisory Committee during a CRA Meeting Tuesday night. Gulfport Patch will have more information later today.
3.) Brownfields Advisory Committee: The Gulfport City Council will temporarily serve as the Brownfields Advisory Committee. City leaders are moving forward with establishing a Brownfields program.They need an advisory committee with new members appointed once the city obtains the designation. 4.) Meet Your Commissioner Today: Pinellas County Commissioner Ken Welch's community office hours next Wednesday, Oct. 19 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the St. Petersburg College West Community Library conference room, 6700 Eighth Ave. N., St. Petersburg. 5.) Wednesday Forecast: We have a 20 percent chance of showers before 2 p.m. Otherwise, partly sunny with a high near 78. Windy, with a west wind 10 to 13 mph increasing between 22 and 25 mph. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. Tonight, partly cloudy with a low around 64 and a west wind between 13 and 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.
