Special Budget Meeting Tonight, Food Drive, 30% Chance of Rain and more in "5 Things to Know Today."

Vote on Budget Tonight: The Gulfport City Council will vote on the second reading of the operating budget for fiscal 2012 during a special meeting at 7 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall tonight. Council members voted 3 - 2 during first reading of the budget, which includes outsourcing the police dispatch center and mowing services. The move would eliminate a total of 9 city employees. Food Drive: The JROTC at Boca Ciega High School is gearing up for a Salvation Army Food Drive to begin on Monday, Sept. 26th. Start cleaning out your cabinets and help donate food.
