Winn-Dixie Invites Latino Shoppers To Join The Conversation Online With New Facebook Page

MIAMI, Fla. (Oct. 30, 2012) – Winn-Dixie recently expanded its social media outreach and debuted its Latino Facebook page (facebook.com/winndixielatino), inviting Latino shoppers to join the conversation online. With posts written in Spanish, the dedicated page welcomes fans from all backgrounds and establishes a new way for Winn-Dixie to connect with Latinos –celebrating their passion for family, food and culture.

 

“Following the successful launch of our general market Facebook page, we wanted to create an online community for our Hispanic shoppers to gather and share information that is most important to them,” said Carlos Gil, manger of social media, Winn-Dixie Stores. “With the launch of our Latino Facebook fan page, we’re more socially connected than ever and are able to engage consumers, sharing all that Winn-Dixie has to offer across many audiences.”

The new site aims to take the conversation online and engage consumers through the sharing of relevant content including recipes, in-store events, new store openings and exclusive value deals, such as Winn-Dixie’s Make-A-Meal and What-A-Deal promotions. With more than 90 stores in South and Central Florida already featuring bilingual or Spanish circulars and overall communications, the fan page is another way Winn-Dixie is able to reach this diverse group.
