Boca Ciega Tennis Team is Young, Has Potential
Bogie's Tennis Teams play with heart, but no team uniforms.
The Boca Ciega Tennis Team is a young, dynamic group of kids who play hard, but have a great time doing it. Coach Lauren Widner says that while the final scores are always a great reflection of the amount of talent on the team, she says they have a lot of fun competing in the sport. But they do so without official team uniforms. There is no money for real competition uniform tennis wear. But that doesn't stop them from enjoying the game.
"They're a young team, but I see some great potential among them," she said.
The tennis team has a motto,"Get Swole" started by teammate Kevin "the pizza man" Reyes. He was finished for the day and started eating pizza.

"It means like, go big or go home, like "Get on The Swole Train!", Reyes laughed.
Bogie Tennis is currently ranked 6th of 7 teams in the District. On Thursday, they played matches against Dunedin, who is 2nd in the District. Bogie lost 0-7 for the Girls, and 0-7 for the Boys. But then again, there's always pizza....
