New Blogger on all Things Happening in Gulfport

I’m not a big fan of technology but in my quest to share my love of Gulfport to a broader audience I am willing to try blogging. My blog will be about what is happening in Gulfport and maybe some behind the scenes information on how things are made to happen. 

Recently Gulfport was featured in Florida Travel and Life magazine, it was one of three small towns they focused on. The magazine can be picked up at the local grocery stores like , , or ordered online. This is not the first publication to promote Gulfport and hopefully not the last, but it is a concerted effort to attract this press attention. 

As an innkeeper and part of the larger tourism community, I network with the St. Pete/Clearwater Convention and Visitors Bureau and others to let them know about this charming community and when they get inquiries from travel writers looking for stories that are appropriate they contact me. I arrange for a tour and they take in the ambiance and presto, we are out there. 

Gulfport always has something going on last week it is Wags and Whiskers at the Senior Center, Yesterday was the So Studio Tour featuring the works of Nancy Cervenka, Barbara Nicolazzo, Clint Stone, Frank Strunk, Monica Watson and many others. 

As always the Tuesday Fresh Market will continue its year-round presence on Beach Blvd. with a slightly shorter time frame as it will go from 9 am- 2pm instead of 3 pm. 

I look forward to using this as a forum to keep you informed of what’s happening in Gulfport. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around town!
