Vacation In Our Nation: Finally Here!

Finally made it to Colorado!

Day 4 is over and we finally made it to our destination on this trip!

We woke up at about 7:30 in Raton, New Mexico, had breakfast and went on a little trip through town. We went to the Raton Tourist Information Center, then the Raton Train Station. After that we got on the highway and headed towards Colorado. Next, we stopped in Trinidad for a well needed Starbucks break and a visit to the Colorado Welcome Center, they have a Trolley that looks just like ours!

After that we jumped onto the Highway of Legends_that would take us to where we wanted to go. It is such a beautiful highway with so much history. I beg you, if you ever get a chance to travel the Highway of Legends, please don't pass up the opportunity.

Once we got off the highway we went to Alamosa where the road led out of town to Salida, our final destination. We ate lunch in Alamosa then after traveling through town like it was a maze; we finally found the road and headed toward Salida. We drove into town at about 3:20 and headed over to my Great-Aunt Suzie's house. After that we went to our cabin at the River Suites Villa, we are in the Mt. Oxford Cabin. Then we went to dinner at a place called Shallots, went to WalMart, and then headed back to the cabin for the night, which is where I am now.

I'm sitting on the couch with my cousin, my mom, my aunt, my dad, and my grandma and grandfather are sitting in the kitchen. My Aunt came from Alaska, my grandma, grandfather, and cousin from California, and of course us from Florida.
