Vacation in our Nation: Steamtown and Sunrise
Our last few days in New Jersey are coming to an end.
Thursday was a very rainy day, so we decided it was a great day for an inside activity. Mom dialed up my cousin Charlie and we made plans with him for the day. We drove about 45 minutes to his house in Scranton, Pennsylvania. When we got there he showed us his three antique restored cars and then mom, dad and I loaded into Charlie's car along with his wife Liz.
They drove us to Steamtown where we toured the train museum. The museum had a lot of antique train cars that we got to walk through, it was really cool. After that we took the little walkway over the railroad tracks into the Steamtown mall, which was mom and I's favorite part of the day. We ate in the food court and mom and I left my dad, Charlie, and Liz in the foodcourt and walked around the entire mall.
It was an extrmely rainy ride home, but I suffered through it by listening to my music. When we got back into Branchville we went to Jumboland for dinner and then back to the cabin. It was pretty early so we passed the time by building a fire in the wood stove. Dad claimed to have seen a bear walk through camp, but mom and I didn't see it.

This morning we went to Jumboland for breakfast and then we drove up to sunrise mountain where we parked and then hiked up to the top. It was really pretty up there. Then we drove out to High Point but none of us had the energy to walk all the way to the top. We did see an adorable bunny and 4 rattle snakes though.
This is kind of early for me to be posting but tonight we have to get everything packed and ready because we leave tomorrow morning. While I will miss the beauty of the nature up here and seeing my family, I will most definitely NOT miss all the bugs and the cold.
