Vacation in our Nation: Worthington State Forest
Our first full day in Jersey has come to an end, and boy was it tiring!
Once again I had an early wake-up thanks to my mom, but this one was a bit different. She was standing in the kitchen looking out the window saying "Sis, come here, quick, there is a deer and her fawn walking through our camp!" And, sure enough, there she was! After we got all dressed for the 54 degree weather, we set out for breakfast at Jumboland with my cousins Ed and Nancy and my Great Aunt Pauline. After that we went across the street to Ed and Nancy's flea market and fruit stand. It was really nice, the strawberries they sell here are amazing!! They hire teenagers in the summer and I'm contemplating coming up here one summer to work. Then, at about 11:30 we set off on another adventure.
We drove to Dingman's Falls, walked a mile, walked up 245 steps (exactly) to the top of the waterfall, back down 245 steps and then back another mile to the car. It was quite the trip but it was definitely worth it.
Then we hit the road once again, we were kind of lost but we finally made it to our destination; Worthington forest, and if you have yet to notice, my last name is Worthington. We're not sure if there is a relation but knowing the size and vastness of my family, odds are, we're related. Then we drove on back to the cabin and I slept most of the ride home. At about 5:30 we went to my cousin Rita's house for dinner. They just said goodbye to two Chinese foreign exchange students so we had quite the feast. Including barbecue chicken, fried rice, tofu, tortellini, and potato salad.

After dinner Rita took us across the lake to see some eagles that have taken over a tree. They have two babies in the large nest they have built. Then we all just sat by the lake and talked, it's so relaxing up here.
At the moment, I'm sitting by the campfire and boy is it nice and warm. Mom and dad are planning tomorrow, and I'm planning my Trivia questions.
