Calling All Outstanding Teens in Gulfport
Do you have or know a teen in middle or high school who could use a savings account with $500 in their name? Nominate a Gulfport teen today.
ST. PETERSBURG - St. Petersburg's TASCO Teen Programs and Mayor Bill Foster are in search of exceptional teens in middle or high school in 10 achievement categories:
- Academic Achievement
- Scholar Athlete
- Citizenship or Leadership
- Fine Arts
- Literary Arts
- Performing Arts
- Media Arts
- Science Technology
- Vocational or Business Enterprise
- Overcoming Adversity
Applications are due by April 22, 2011. Nominations are open to all Pinellas County students (middle school, high school, public, private and home-schooled).

A minimum of 20 winners will be awarded a $500 savings account from the Florida Central Credit Union. Top winners will be selected in each category - 10 students in high school and 10 students in middle school.
The 2011 Mayors Showcase of Achievement winners will be announced at the Mahaffey Theater on May 17, 2011. A minimum of $15,000 in awards available to date.
