29th Annual National Night Out

The Gulfport Police present National Night Out, an community event "designed to heighten crime-prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and are fighting back." 

This evening includes a group walk at 9pm to represent the commitment between community and law enforcement against crime and criminals.

Other highlights include:

  • Emergency vehicle displays, including marked and unmarked police patrol cars, patrol boat, mobile crime, lab, and the new fire engine;
  • A display of tactical and investigative equipment;
  • Handouts of crime-prevention resources and children's activity books;
  • Scheduling of home and business security surveys;
  • Free bicycle safety inspections;
  • Free children's bicycle helmets (while supplies last);
  • Free child fingerprinting;
  • Food by Smokin' J's of Gulfport (while supplies last).
